Government

Murt is run by halfling families, its the only realm that isn't directly governed by dragonkind. Instead The Penny Accords have found the Halfling people to be so resilient and resistant to governing that it was in everyone's best interest to leave the halflings to tend to their planet. Since then the Halflings have separated themselves into Tirs, or small territories. These places are ruled by a single family who oversees the cultivation of the areas farmland and ranches.

Languages

Most halflings speak halfling, and refuse to speak anything else. There are many halfling families who promote the use of dwarven as well as halfling, and even mix the two together in a unique dialect call Hillfen. However it is left to the educated and political to speak common, often forcing immigrants to adopt halfling or suffer a constant language barrier.

Even halflings who speak common are unlikely to do so unless its absolutely necessary for a duty of theirs.

Religions

Halflings practically worship the hearth. To the point that every festivity, every celebration, funeral, or public event revolves around food and cooking. Most of halflings spiritual counseling comes from the heads of kitchens called cookies. The sacred learning of halfling cooking is the most well kept secret on Murt, to the extreme of family wars over stolen recipes.

The farmlands of Murt attract a lot of attention from roaming monsters, troll tribes, and aggressive bug life.
