Physical descriptor

Elves are often tall, soft skinned individuals. Most elves spend large amounts of time maintaining their physical beauty, often taking a large amount of time on their hair and skincare in the morning. Most dress elaborately, finding no need to dress down for any occasion. All elves have notably long pointed ears, and eyes that are dark with large pupils to take in great amounts of light.

Society

Elves are close with their families, and the event of a new birth is seen as a major event among all elven society. They very rarely have children and each one is seen as a sacred soul who has entered the world. Their long lived nature gives them well earned familiar relationships with other immortals, including dragons. Many Elves have known their closest friends for centuries, with the longest friendships having lasted thousands of years. They take this longevity as a sacred blessing that gives them the ability to over see other races and their societies with an unbiased perspective. This is something the dragons have used in their favor for over a thousand years. When the realms were settled the elves were given the job of overseeing the development of each planets ecosystem and civilization, they have seen the development of each realms society and this gives them a perspective of both a historian and a politician as they attempt to maintain good faith with all other races.

Beliefs

Elves believe each elven life is priceless, and that the birth of a new elf is a sacred event. Each immortal life they have is precious and must be maintained for the good of their society, no elf sees themselves as an individual but instead one of only a few. While the population of elves is in the many thousands they have barely a percentage of most other races. This scarcity of elven life leads to the tracking of every elven life as a historically important to their history.

Name Examples

Elves each have a unique name. They do not take the names of their forebears and instead are given a name in elvish by an oracle who predicts their life path. These names are seen as a fated brand by elves. Most embrace their names, while some few elves find their names to be too heavy and fight against their fates.
