Physical descriptor

Hobgoblins are tall, long limbed goblinoids. They have large mouths full of sharp teeth much like their short chaotic cousins, however Hobgoblins often keep far cleaner appearances. They groom themselves to a regulation standard, often braiding their hair or cutting it short. Most Hobgoblins have reddish skin with varying shades of grey and brown features.

Society

Hobgoblins are raised as neophytes and eventually are squired to one of the three military branches. The Metal, Mental, and Mystic branches of their military each rules a different part of their society. Every Hobgoblin upon becoming a squire begins their military career, gaining ranks through exemplary service. From merchants to ambassadors to infantry members each serves a military function, and all hob goblins are trained for combat. Most of their lives are spent doing mundane tasks to maintain the citadels they live in, however when threats arise to threaten the hobgoblins they are deployed in mass to defeat the threat. No other race can rapidly deploy armies in the time that the hobgoblins do, their numbers and organization make them an incredibly powerful ally, and enemy.

Beliefs

Hobgoblins see themselves as the rightful army of the dragons, and find elven ambassadors as insufferable cowards. Every hobgoblin is willing to die for their people, and they believe the elves reluctance to engage in conflict as their greatest weakness. The leadership of the hobgoblins are always politically maneuvering to undermine elven leadership in order to gain favor of draconic kind.
