Physical descriptor

Centaur are four legged hoofed creatures with the torsos of humanoids. Their bottom half resembles a cloven animal with thick furred hide, but extending from the shoulders of their horse half is a humanoid torso with similarly thick skin like hide. Their features are often tied to their bottom half, with some centaur having horns extending from their foreheads similar to a gazelle or ram, others have thick coarse hair that grows long. Many features of the centaur are tied to their tribes, with many branding themselves with intricate marks burned into their fur all along their bodies to symbolize their bond and dedication to their ancestors.

Society

Centaur tribes roam vast distances in great trade caravans. They carry large amounts of goods from gnomish city to city, stopping at minor oasis along the way to trade with smaller gnomish towns. They centralize around tribal chiefs, leaders of political and military functions. These chiefs represent more than just the tribes interests but also the spirits of their ancestral lines. The ghosts of their forebears are said to run along the plains with the tribe, and the chief has the responsibility to commune with them and maintain their peaceful rest.
