Traits

Government

Ruled by the Dynasty of Endless Seas Ullat's daily life is run by the Merfolk and Athamaru. These races have been charged with the maintenance of the grand oceans of their realm. The largest of these priorities is keeping leviathans from over feeding, or becoming too hostile. This has lead to a shaky but long held alliance between the two races. While Athamaru rarely trust the Merfolk They find it necessary to trade with them for tools and technologies from the other realms.

Population

The primary civilized population of Ullat is Athamaru However they are spread out among villages of varying depths. While the Merfolk are focused in the shallows of the realm, where they form compact cityscapes.

76% of the population is estimated to be Athamaru

30% of the population is Merfolk

4% of the population is immigrants who dwell within shell spire cities.

Languages

Aquan is most commonly spoken between the species of Ullat. It is also the language used in rituals to sooth the leviathans.

The common tongue is also spoken by Merfolk and some educated Athamaru.

Religions

The peoples of Ullat revere the great leviathans as demigods. Great beings of ancient wisdom and anger. They maintain these creatures as well as corral and calm them when they are frenzied. This sacred duty was bestowed upon them during the Great Exodus by the Dynasty of Endless Seas. They have cultivated this relationship with the ancient beasts for generations now, seeing them as ancestral guardians.

Threats

The greatest threat to Ullat is the swarms of sahaugin who hunt in the thousands. These schools of beastial fishmen prey upon fish stock and athamaru alike. In times of desperation even attacking leviathans in hopes to secure a large scale feeding frenzy, or enraging the beast enough into attacking a local Merfolk settlement so the sahaugin can raid their supplies.
