The religious nature of the rituals performed on Zoi have given the entire realm a reverence for the cycle of life and death. All members of Zoi participate in funerals, often attending them weekly or even daily in times where death is common. They see the interment of the dead as a step from one plane to another, and do not hold on to grief for too long. They see grief as one of the essential emotions, and not something that destroys a person.
This attitude spreads to the reincarnation, or birth of the undead. Ceremonies that are often celebrated on Zoi by local populaces. Those who signed dead contracts, and had extreme debts in life often pay this back in their unlife. Being raised into whatever form best fits the condition of their remains and what is most needed by the Immortal Triumvirate at the time. These new lives are celebrated in parties called Morts. People of Zoi will bring culturally relevant objects, foods, and music to share with the newly awakened. These celebrations often help the undead integrate with their new unlife and the community in which they will serve.
