Gimmon, The third realm
- Traits
Government
Gimmon has an intricate and hard to follow web of varying government bodies. Much of their political systems are shaped around the natural order of the food chain. While there are bastions of peace where no Beastmen may prey upon another, the wilds outside of these civilizations work upon the Old Law where any Beastmen can find themselves on someone elses dinner plate.
In these bastions of civilization you will find the most advanced of the Beastmen societies, both in culture and technology. They engage in diplomatic voting for their leadership, relying on senators to represent districts of the different cities. This system is well respected, though it is not uncommon for intimidation and crude tactics to be involved in election campaigns.
The tribes of the savage lands outside cities are more commonly run through merit based leadership. The strongest
or smartest of the Beastmen leading tribes in an ever changing fight for survival. Many species form mutual
relationships to defend one another, while predators rely on catching out foolish or weak Beastmen to feed
themselves, and only rarely attacking a tribe head on in the most desperate of times.
Population
The population of Gimmon is an ever changing and impossible to census collection of warring species. Some scholars have attempted to get a vague idea of the demographics, though its heavily debated by others on the ability to verify such rough estimates.

Languages
Commonly beastmen rely on body language in encounters with other species, though they share the common tongue, its rarely used in the savage lands. Most often common is spoken to visitors and in the courts of bastion cities when elaborate explanation is needed.
Threats
The largest threat to Gimmons way of life is over ambitious tribal leaders who wish to dominate more resources than is sustainable by other tribes. Often over zealous leaders will attempt sadistic acts such as enslavement, domestication or attempted farming of other species. These acts are always brought before the courts as its a breach of the Old Law. To deny a warrior his fair death is a cruel and unforgiveable sin to the beastmen.
These evil leaders cause large scale conflicts and in the past have even brought coalitions of tribes to great wars. While these wars are few and infrequent, it can never be forgotten when evil tyrants rear their heads.
Other Characteristics
Gimmon is notable for being exceptionally wild, there is almost no farmland. The areas outside of bastions are left wild and open to the foraging needs of the roaming tribes. The only exception is the grand palaces of blue dragons, who often cultivate extravagant and exhaustive gardens across the globe.
Important people
There is an innumerable amount of tribal leaders and heroes, however a few key individuals stick out amongst them for their foreign diplomacy.
Special Rules
All overland travel is through difficult terrain, there are no roads in the savage lands.
