Physical descriptor
Gnomes are small in statue, with heads that are seen as too large for their bodies. They often have extremely colorful hair with which they rarely style. Most gnomes spend their time working and thinking about their next project, and spend little time on their appearance. Many gnomes come up with the most efficient ways to style their hair and clothes, to varying degrees of success.
Society
Gnomes have a strict hierarchy based on their careers of choice. All gnomes enter an apprenticeship when they reach maturity, while apprenticed they work their way up a convoluted ladder of job positions. Many gnomes inherit the shops and business they own later in life not from family, but from their employers who pass down their positions to the hardest working of the gnomes. This chain has cause fierce competition among the employed, with each one pushing themselves to extremes to succeed in their jobs.
Beliefs
Gnomes are practical, they don't focus much on spiritual endeavors at all. Instead they believe their virtue is based on success in their chosen field. Each gnome dedicates a large amount of time to mastering their craft, from inventors to artists to soldiers of their brass clad armies. All gnomes have a sense of earning and push themselves to the limits of their minds and bodies as a way to honor themselves and their people.
