Traits

Government

Gimmon has an intricate and hard to follow web of varying government bodies. Much of their political systems are shaped around the natural order of the food chain. While there are bastions of peace where no Beastmen may prey upon another, the wilds outside of these civilizations work upon the Old Law where any Beastmen can find themselves on someone elses dinner plate.

In these bastions of civilization you will find the most advanced of the Beastmen societies, both in culture and technology. They engage in diplomatic voting for their leadership, relying on senators to represent districts of the different cities. This system is well respected, though it is not uncommon for intimidation and crude tactics to be involved in election campaigns.

The tribes of the savage lands outside cities are more commonly run through merit based leadership. The strongest or smartest of the Beastmen leading tribes in an ever changing fight for survival. Many species form mutual relationships to defend one another, while predators rely on catching out foolish or weak Beastmen to feed themselves, and only rarely attacking a tribe head on in the most desperate of times.

Population

The population of Gimmon is an ever changing and impossible to census collection of warring species. Some scholars have attempted to get a vague idea of the demographics, though its heavily debated by others on the ability to verify such rough estimates.

Character creation note: These links are for stat references only, the lore can be found in the Beastmen entry.

Languages

Commonly beastmen rely on body language in encounters with other species, though they share the common tongue, its rarely used in the savage lands. Most often common is spoken to visitors and in the courts of bastion cities when elaborate explanation is needed.
